Project Summary
Several years ago, Washington County hired an Architect who drew up plans and specs and then put the project out for lump sum bids. No CM was on board to provide input during design or to provide bid strategies and constructability reviews.
The bid came in way over budget and subsequently the project was scrapped.
A couple of years passed and then they put us on board. We provided design and constructability strategies that yielded a project the community could afford and would serve their needs.
We finished the project with $500,000 contingency funds returned to the Owner who used it for more enhancements on the campus.
