Harrison County Hospital decided to leave behind an older facility in a residential area to construct a more convenient and efficient hospital that could better serve its population. This 140,000 sq.ft. new building project would utilize the latest building technology. The project was heavily funded by Harrison County government, who chose Shireman as Construction Manager to protect the county’s investment.
The new site was full of multiple sink holes and rock. Shireman worked closely with the design team, using its knowledge of karst topography to mitigate and build around the most challenging areas. Soon into the project the low-bid contractor demanded a change order for rock removal. We used our knowledge of site work as general contractor to reduce and fight off this change, saving over a million dollars.
The Shireman firm brings that something extra to the table. They care for their customers and they make you feel like part of the family. They take great pride in their reputation, accomplishments and work very hard to meet the needs of their customers.
Let's discussyour project.
